News Tribune Iraq event
Mark gave an account of the Aug. 11 event at the Washington State Historical
Museum sponsored by the News Tribune featuring Peter Haley's photographs
of the Iraq war from three separate visits there in 2003, 2004, and 2005, followed
by a Q&A with the News Tribune reporters who have been embedded with units from Fort
Lewis: Mike Gilbert, Matt Misterek, and Adam Lynn.
Call for volunteers to help with counter-recruitment tabling: Sallie
Permission has been been granted to make counter-recruitment literature available
in schools when military recruiters are present; Sallie Shawl is now organizing
volunteers to staff the tables. Please call her at 253-383-3056 ext. 105 to volunteer
